Extensive experience in higher education formed the basis of PSB's implementation of OSIRIS for Utrecht University. One single study tracking system across the entire institution replaces a number of different faculty study tracking systems.
Utrecht University has been using OSIRIS since 2000. The package allows registration on the institution level, while faculties can use OSIRIS to adhere fully to their own identity and wishes where information management is concerned. OSIRIS supports developments like institution funding on the basis of study points achieved by the student and the Bachelor/Master degree model.
In 2001 OSIRIS was launched as a standard package. The reactions in higher education have been enthusiastic, with Erasmus University in Rotterdam deciding to purchase OSIRIS in the same year.
Capgemini, a prominent IT service provider, supplies implementation services for OSIRIS.
